O X1 será vendido com três opções de motores a gasolina e três a diesel. O modelo de entrada virá com um 4 cilindros 2.0 de 143 cv. Outra versão com o mesmo bloco gerará 170 cv. As versões turbodiesel utilizam o mesmo motor 2.0 com potências que variam entre 143 cv e 204 cv. A versão top de linha terá o motor de 6 cilindros em linha 3.0 aspirado de 265 cv. A previsão é de que o modelo desembarque no mercado nacional a partir de 2010.

A nova Strada aumentou o espaço interno em 55 cm maior que a Strada Adventure “Simples”, mas apesar de maior ela só carrega dois passageiros na parte de trás. Porem estes não podem ter mais que 1,75 m de altura, pois se não ficarão meio que apertados, pior é que nem o motorista pode ser muito grande ,pois irá limitar ainda mais o espaço para os passageiros.
A picape está disponível apenas na versão Adventure por R$ 46.440. E sai de série com ar-condicionado, direção hidráulica, vidros e travas elétricas, além de rodas de liga-leve de 15 polegadas. Freios ABS, airbag duplo, CD player com Bluetooth e entrada USB. O sistema Locker é vendido separadamente por R$ 1.200. O equipamento continua de série na picape de cabine estendida e em outros modelos da linha Adventure.
O problema é que com este novo modelo a Strada acabou perdendo muito espaço na caçamba. Ante tinha 830 l e agora com a cabine dupla ficou com apenas 580 litros podendo carregar até 650 quilos em seus 1,4 m² de área.
Ela tem o comprimento total de 4,46 m, 1,74 m de largura, 1,63 m de altura e 2,75 m de distância entre-eixos. O motor é o 1.8 flex de 114 cv a 5 500 rpm e 18,5 kgfm a 2 800 rpm, ambos com álcool que segundo a Fiat acelera de 0 a 100 km/h em 11,8 segundos e atinge velocidade máxima de 175 km/h abastecido com Álcool.
Agora fica a duvida, será vantagem comprar um carro cabine dupla, de R$ 46.440, que não tem espaço para seus passageiros e muito menos para sua carga?
